colombia
hey everyone......... i´m in medellin right now waiting for the bus to take me to the border of ecuador. colombia is definitely a tourist destination... fairly modernized and safer than you would think of colombia as. haven´t been able to experience all that much since i have just been travelling through, but it has a range of climates, and so much fruit it´s ridiculous. dad, it´s not that i didn´t like panama, it´s just that i was stuck in panama city, which is very touristy and a party town. nonetheless while i was there i was able to buy local fish, eat lots of coconuts and pineapples and hang out with some good folks. i am getting close enough to the finish line now that i can feel it in my bones. i will be in quito tomorrow, and i think that i can get a bus straight from quito to lima, then lima to santiago chile. if both of those buses actually work out then i will be in tunuyan before i know it. at this point i am ready for that. it will be nice once i arrive to have a place to just hang out for a while. all my love............

Pablo, Awesome dude. I'm glad you are getting near your destination. You must be a bit tired of being on all those buses by now. Hopefully you are doing good on cash but if you need some just let me know. As always I love you and you are in my thoughts all the time. Stay safe, love Dad
ReplyDeleteholy tamales,

Hi Paul,
ReplyDeleteglad to hear that things are going great, Linda even said today "I miss Paul." She would't say that about very amny other people.
Shannon, out farmhand, arrived today and is going to work out great. I can't wait for you two to meet. Take care, Mike
Paulie,
ReplyDeleteWe have two big "world maps" in our office and everytime you post a couple of us go look at where you are. That part has been fun - my co-workers are keeping my mind off my worries about you traveling - I must admit I am feeling a little better, but until you actually arrive in Tunuyan I won't quite be peaceful! A few more very long bus rides and you will be there. I think you will make it before the next full moon and just about on the schedule you thought you would be. I think I look forward to your arrival as much as you do - I can't wait for you to be able to relax and enjoy. There is so much to see between where you are and where you are going - I wouldn't blame you for taking another detour - you are free as a bird right now. I can also understand being tired of traveling. Take in as much as you can as you go- you are so good at being a sponge and remembering everything. I hope you get to post some pictures soon. I love you, bud!!
Take good care.
Love,
Mom
Hey Paul! It's Amelia, Katie's friend from home. Rowan forwarded me your blog, I'm the weirdo that went out with you all on halloween night and we ate raw garlic at a party, haha. Brendan also says hello and thanks again for inviting us over for goat. I'm so excited that you have made it down there. And much faster than I could have ever imagined. Go south american buses. I'm also looking forward to the time you will spend on the farm, it is a very special place. If you remember, give Vida a hug for me :) Good luck and keep traveling buddy.
